Q. What are the advantages of a 12v voltage system over a 120v system?

Advantages:

A. Safety - Low Voltage lighting systems are much safer to operate than traditional higher voltage systems.

B. Economical – 12v systems cost approximately 1/3 of what it costs 120v systems to operate.

C. Installation - 12v systems are up to 90% cheaper to install than a high voltage system.

D. Beam Control - There are a wider variety of beam spreads, wattages, and color temperatures available in a low voltage system which allows your designer total control and flexibility in their designs.

E. Fixtures - The lower voltage systems have a tendency to offer a larger selection of compact and unique designs that will blend more naturally into the landscape.


Q. What are the benefits of a lighting system?

A. The most significant benefit is the beauty a low voltage lighting system will provide to your landscape design. However, equally important are the benefits of added home security and value. In Addition, by adding light you extend the usable hours of your property and also have further opportunities to enjoy your outdoor living space.


Q. Are all lighting systems equal in terms of quality and function?

A. Absolutely not! You can not receive the same effects from a packaged system such as one you would purchase from a local retailer as a lighting system that has been custom designed and installed. Typically, boxed "kit" systems are manufactured using inferior plastics and ferrous metals that will hinder your investment and cause disappointment in a very short period of time.

Q. Can I install a landscape lighting system myself?

Using Nite FX Lighting or another professional designer is highly recommended when utilizing professional equipment such as the product excellence of FX Luminaire or Kichler, due to the fact that professional designers are expertly trained in the variety of installation techniques. Our expertise ensures your system will not only create eye appeal but also a safe and functional system.


Q. Will my lighting system be harmful to my garden?

A. Our technicians are dedicated to professional installations and are always extremely careful so not to disturb your outdoor beauties. You can have the peace of mind that your property will have the same care as if it were our own. Most of our work is completed using hand tools so to cause minimal disturbance to your outdoor area. Our goal is to make it appear as if we were never there.


Q. What does a professionally designed system cost?

A. Because each project is unique and designed to suit your needs, it's impossible to say how much your particular project will cost. Factors such as fixture type, quantities, location, property size, obstructions (sidewalks, driveways, etc.), soil type, and custom options are all considerations which must be made to determine your project cost. Obviously, you can expect to pay much more for professional fixtures than those found at your local retailer. However, the initial expense is well worth the extended life and unlimited creative options available from your new professional system.

Q. What kind of warranty comes with my system?

A. Nite FX Lighting provides an extensive customer service package which includes a 5 year product warranty and a workmanship guarantee. If you ever have a problem with your new lighting system just let us know and our specialists will promptly be at your service.
